Form 2 - UBNC Player Profile

Form 3-  Welcome letter 2013

Our aim is to provide opportunities for girls and women to play club and representative netball and to advance their skill level in a friendly inclusive social environment from ages five through to seniors.

UBNC is a new netball club having our very successful inaugural year in 2008, but with over 160 members and growing each year, we are already a very well established and well known club throughout the Woy Woy Peninsula and currently play in the Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Associations winter and summer competitions.

We aim to create a successful future for our club through innovative leadership, a strong commitment to skill development for players and the provision of development opportunities for our coaches.

Feel free to investigate our web site and contact any one of the committee members if you are interested in becoming involved in anyway with this wonderful club.

Please read the enclosed as it outlays everything you need to know about the season commencement, along with fees that are applicable.

This gives you a clear indication of the assistance that is required to ensure the smooth operation of our club and what will be required by you as a member.

We welcome you all to our club and welcome your input at any time. Click here for Contact details or our Executive Members.

2013 season begins 6th April. All teams are expected to participate in the March Pass, which commences after 11am game.

Fees

2013 Netball NSW registration fees are

Seniors> 18 - $145

IJ- 13-17 yrs -  $135

Junior -10-12 yrs - $130

LTP 6-9 yrs - $120

Funnet- 3-5yrs- $30.00 * funnet is ran by the WWPNA, money is payable to direct to the Association not UBNC. No club uniform is required

If you dont wish to do fundraising we are offering the option to pay a $40 fundraising levy- see fundraising below.

Fundraising- * Fees Apply

Fundraising is paramount to the sustainability of many non-profit organisations.  All monies paid for fees do not in any way benefit UBNC and therefore require support to continue the development of the club.  Registration fees are paid direct to Netball NSW to cover insurance and playing fees for each player.

This year will see the introduction of a non-compulsory levy of $40.00 per person. If this levy is not paid then YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FUNDRAISE, i.e sell a box of chocolates. All chocolates must be sold and not returned.

Any money raised throughout the year goes to ensuring our coaches are qualified, our equipment is up to date, our grand finalist are rewarded and most importantly all our players are rewarded with a trophy/gift and a presentation to recognise their efforts. UNBC endeavour to keep our fundraising activities to a minimum and will spread the activities we do throughout the year. We value your support and encourage any input to assist the club.

Calendar of Events will be advertised on our website and newsletters once dates and events are confirmed.

Managers will be appointed by team coaches. Parents are encouraged to help as much as they can.

Duty Umpiring

Duty umpiring is separate to weekly umpiring. Each team will have an estimated 1 duty umpire per season. Duty umpiring requires 2 team players to sign in at the tower on their designated day and time slot. If for some unfortunate reason another club does not fulfil their weekly umpiring duty the duty umpire will be called to umpire. In no circumstances would a duty umpire be given a game beyond their ability. A $60.00 Club fine payable to UBNC will apply to all teams who do not fulfil their umpiring duty, majority of this money is payable to WWPNA. Junior’s duty umpire will be supplied for each team and covered in weekly costs. Seniors are to do their own duty umpire or make prior arrangements or individual fill-in.

Canteen Duty

Canteen duty will be required for all teams. Allocated day and time slot will be advised. Canteen duty requires setup and pack up of bins, post protectors and general rubbish around the courts. Teams will be required to provide 3 adults or children over 15 yrs to fulfil maximum 30 minutes canteen duty. Rosters will be drawn up and issued. Canteen Coordinator for Umina Beach Netball Club is Belinda Player.

Training

Training days and times will be set by the team coach on the days allocated by WWPNA. Any parent or guardian who is not playing or affiliated with the club, which would like to assist with training, must become a non-player member of the club. The cost is $30.00 & all proceeds are paid to Netball NSW to cover insurance.

Training Cancellation

Training is at the discretion of team coach and managers. Managers should arrange a calling tree to save costs. The coach has final decision over training and if decides to cancel should give plenty of notice to team manager, the manager will then proceed to ring 1st person on list, 1st person contacts second and so on until all players are notified. If parents are not completely satisfied with their child’s coach, they are encouraged to approach an executive member to assist in resolving any conflict. UBNC have a conflict and complaints procedure to ensure the wellbeing of each member.

Wet Weather

Games will be as usual in wet weather.  Teams may agree to cease play at half-time and the score will stand. LTP will be decided by the coach on the day no later than 1 hour before the game. Extreme weather cancellations will be made by WWPNA on the morning of the game. Teams wishing to forfeit must contact an Executive as soon as possible, notice must be given to WWPNA and opposing team.
